Craman Lagarde was founded in 1947 by Henri Craman and Jean Lagarde, after they had completed an apprenticeship together. Faithful to the style and expertise of the greatest French cabinetmakers, their aim was to keep their traditional techniques and skills alive.
It is a family company for five generations that was able to attach the loyalty of a team of the most qualified companions. Some of them made their apprenticeship in the company.
Making a high quality piece of furniture means scrupulously applying traditional knowledge, both in terms of manufacturing techniques (respect and mastery of the style, aesthetics and technique) as well as the choice of materials (precious wood, varnishes, lacquers, and other rare materials).
Since 1989, the company has been led by Jean-Paul Craman and his wife Joelle Craman. They now represent the fifth generation of cabinetmakers in the Craman family.
Craman Lagarde was awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant quality label in May 2011.
